Eligibility –
10+2 with 50% marks with Mathematics as a Compulsory Subject from a recognized Board of Education/ 3 years Diploma in any stream of Engineering from Institutes recognized by Central/ State Governments with 50% marks.
Admission Procedure -
The candidates have to appear in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which is a National level Online Test conducted by NIASA (National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture), Pune (for more information visit www.niasa.org). The test can be taken up after 10th standard and the score obtained is valid for 2 years. Improvement of scores can be made by taking the test any number of times. In order to pass the Architectural Aptitude Test, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.
The admission to the 1st year of B. Arch. Course is done on the basis of merit based on the valid NATA score and marks obtained in the qualifying examination in the ratio 50:50. The Counselling for Government seats is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority on behalf of the State Government of Karnataka (For details visit http://kea.kar.nic.in).
The remaining seats are filled on the basis of the Centralised Counselling conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering & Dental Colleges of Karnataka (For details visit www.comedk.org).
Duration – Five Academic years comprising of 10 Semesters.
